Manchurian is an Indo Chinese dish that goes well with Mixed Fried Rice or noodles. Manchurian is a mild sauce that blends with chicken gives a unique taste. Fried Rice and Manchurian are very common in my house. My older son Risshi enjoys this combo. He often asks me to prepare this for him. Preparing Chinese food is a bit messy but its all worth when we see our family enjoying every bit of this. Now Egg Manchurian and Vegetable Manchurian is also in our regular menu list. Any Manchurian will go well with fried rice or noodles. You can even prepare these Manchurians as an appetizer or a starter.

If you are preparing Manchurian as a starter keep the fried chicken and sauce ready. When you have your guest just combine the chicken and sauce and serve them. You can prepare many different Manchurians Fish Manchurian, Prawn Manchurian, Egg Manchurian, Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Manchurian, Mushroom Manchurian, etc.

The best Manchurian I ever tasted is from china town in Coimbatore (my hometown). It is a mobile restaurant in the VOC park. I have been eating fried rice and Manchurian for last 20 years in china town. Even now when I visit my city, eating in china town will always be in my to-do list. Nothing can beat our roadside food.

I have tasted many variations in the Manchurian recipe. I always follow this 2 step process. Fried and tossed in the sauce but have seen people directly using the chicken in the sauce without frying them. If you have any other Manchurian recipe please do share it with me. I would like to give it a try.
